About the Position
The Equity is seeking a Grain Merchandising and Elevator Management Intern who is pursuing a degree(s) at a four-year college or university with a major in Ag Business, Markets and Management, Ag Economics, or related fields. Candidates with strong analytical and technical skills combined with a passion for agriculture should apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships with producers
- Assist with grain origination
- Execute grain settlement paperwork
- Plan logistic coordination and complete elevator management
- Learn futures and cash bids
- Gain confidence in the process of grain marketing
Reports to
VP of Grain
Salary
$15-20/hours
Benefits Summary
- Eligible for 401k after age 21 and worked one year and 1,000 hours
- Steel toe boot reimbursement of $75 annually
- Paid Time for All after 90 days, earn 1 hour for 40 hours worked
- Eligible for Employee Hardship Fund after worked 1,000 hours
- Company apparel
Travel
The employee may be required to travel to other facilities in The Equity trade area.
